Electrocute Me

Picture of a purple and orange sunset

We should slip off our clothes
and feel the static electricity
shock our nipples hard,
your body and mine one live wire,
vulnerability flowing through me
like sparks running through the air.
Electrocute me until I’m weak
with affection caught like the flu,
tingling wherever you touch me,
numb wherever you don’t,
nothing but winter love to cover us
with no thought of the coming spring.
