my mind finds its illness boring
so I’ll let my body keep the scoring
this life I’ve lived is tolling;
when it rains it’s surely pouring
don’t wish to live to see my fourties
so I cause my heart rate’s soaring
and this chest pain I’m ignoring
as my pupils near their blowing
no I love yous or I’m sorrys
don’t want to wake to see the morning
can’t watch this life go on unfolding.
