The Occult

“God is not, not just in the sense of being unavailable to us or absent from experience but as a basic aspect of the being of God”
- Sallie McFague from Daniel Howard Snyder’s Panmetaphoricism

Stomach acid spews out my face
Toilet water is my only fate
I beg to god that I must be saved
As perdition, he demands I stay
Where my gut will burn as it quickly swells
My abs jerk to try and help
My head’s buzz means I can't move
My brain would care less if it could
I punch myself across my face
Of my blood cant help but taste
My screams purge my commanded pain
All my healing is in vain
